Michael Berryman

Michael Berryman is a singular presence in horror cinema, instantly recognizable for his striking look and unforgettable performances. He made his mark as Pluto in The Hills Have Eyes and went on to appear in cult favorites like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Devil’s Rejects.

Victoria Price

Toby Poser

Toby Poser is an award-winning filmmaker, actor, and writer known for her bold, deeply personal work in independent horror. The matriarch of the creative force behind The Adams Family, Poser has co-created acclaimed films such as Hellbender, The Deeper You Dig, and Where the Devil Roams.

Blending raw emotion, striking visuals, and a DIY spirit, her work has become a standout in modern indie horror. Andrea Subissati

Andrea Subissati is an award-winning writer, podcaster and content creator. Just don’t say her name five times in a mirror. In 2010, her masters thesis on the social impact of zombie cinema was published under the title When There’s No More Room In Hell: The Sociology of the Living Dead. Since then, she has been published in The Undead and Theology (2012), The Canadian Horror Film: Terror of the Soul (2015) Yuletide Terror: Christmas Horror on Film and Television (2017), and Scared Sacred: Idolatry, Religion and Worship in the Horror Film (2020).

Andrea joined the staff of Rue Morgue magazine in 2014 and became Executive Editor in 2017. In addition to writing, she is co-host and producer of the award-winning Faculty of Horror Podcast with Alexandra West. She hosts Rue Morgue TV and has appeared in the horror documentary Why Horror? (2014), CTV’s Pop Life, Banger TV‘s Locked Horns and Hollywood Suite’s A Year In Film. Andrea is also a co-founder of the Toronto-based horror lecture series “The Black Museum” with Paul Corupe.

Emily Bennett

Emily Bennett is an Academy recognized screenwriter and FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-winning director. Her films have screened at festivals such as Sitges, Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror, FrightFest, BIFAN and Fantasia. In 2023, Bennett won a FANGORIA Chainsaw Award for her debut feature film Alone With You, co-directed with Justin Brooks. The film stars Barbara Crampton and Bennett, and was produced with Andrew Corkin's and actor Theo James' Untapped Productions (Martha Marcy May Marlene, We Are What We Are).

Her second feature film Blood Shine has been acquired by MPI/Dark Sky Films after playing festivals including Sitges, FrightFest, Telluride Horror, Brooklyn Horror and Ramaskrik. As an actress, Bennett appears in the wide-release NEON horror film Shelby Oaks (produced by Mike Flanagan and directed by Chris Stuckmann) and the new film adaptation of The Mortuary Assistant (directed by Jeremiah Kipp). Bennett is a graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art BA acting program where she trained extensively in areas of performance, dramaturgy, classical and modern dramatic texts. Bennett is represented by Nick McCabe of Anonymous Content.

Justin Brooks

Justin Brooks is an award winning filmmaker and cinematographer known for his boundary-pushing indie horror and documentary work. His first film (with co-director/ co-writer Emily Bennett) Alone with You, received a FANGORIA chainsaw award in 2023. The film was produced by Theo James and Andrew Corkin. His second feature Blood Shine hit festivals such as Telluride Horror Show, Fright Fest, Brooklyn Horror,  Sitges and many others before being acquired by MPI/ Dark Sky films for a 2026 release. Beyond his Film work Justin has produced and shot many series for The History Channel, A&E, Vice and Vox media to name a few. Justins most recent series Destinations of The Damned with Zack Bagans hit #2 most streamed list on HBO MAX and his recent critically acclaimed Doc series Hunting Bundy: Chase for the devil is also available on streaming.

Clay McLeod Chapman

Clay McLeod Chapman writes books, comic books, YA and middle grade books, as well as for film and podcasts. Devil Inside is his most recent novel.

Kristin Dearborn

Kristin Dearborn is a life-long New Englander and horror writer, destined to write about anything that screams, squelches, or bleeds. Her first literary love was Michael Crichton. Her second, Stephen King. Dearborn earned her M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University and has been on the horror scene since 2010. She’s the author of Faith of Dawn (2024) Downlines (2023) The Amazing Alligator Girl (2022)  Sacrifice Island (2018), Woman in White (2017), many short stories, and more. When she’s not unleashing a fresh new nightmare onto the page, Dearborn is probably searching for one. Or if she’s taking a break from all things blood-curdling, she’s likely scaling rock cliffs, hiking the northeast, hanging out with her pets, or gallivanting the globe.

Owen Egerton

Owen Egerton is an award-winning writer, director, and novelist. His films include Follow, Blood Fest, Free Birds and Blumhouse's Mercy Black. Most recently, Egerton adapted his own short story to write the film Whistle, directed by Corin Hardy.  Egerton is also the author of several books including The Book of Harold The Illegitimate Son of God, How Best to Avoid Dying, and Hollow, which was named one of the Best Books of the Year by NPR. He and his wife Jodi Egerton co-author the creative writing guide This Word Now. Owen is also one of the talents behind the Alamo Drafthouse’s long running comedy show Master Pancake Theater. In 2023, Owen joined Emerson College as an Assistant Professor of Screenwriting. 

Matthew Leslie

Matthew Leslie is a genre filmmaker known for bold, high-concept horror and thriller stories. He recently co-wrote and sold his latest horror spec to Sony in a competitive deal, with John Terzian's h.wood Media producing. As a director, Matt made his feature debut with THE KNOCKING, a character-driven mystery-horror he also co-wrote, slated for release later in 2026. His breakthrough came with SUMMER OF '84, a paranoia-fueled thriller that landed on the 2016 Blood List. Matt co-wrote and produced the film, which was financed by Gunpowder & Sky and premiered in the Midnight Lineup at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival before rolling out in theaters worldwide. Prior to screenwriting and directing, Matt worked as a Development Executive, where he helped shape the script for the 2015 box office hit STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, working closely with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and director F. Gary Gray. 

Mae Murray

Mae Murray is an Arkansas-born writer and editor who now haunts New England. She has contributed essays and film criticism to Fangoria and Dread Central. She is the recipient of the 2022 Brave New Weird Award for Superior Achievement in Short Fiction. The Book of Queer Saints Volume I was her editing debut and a 2023 British Fantasy Award nominee in the Best Anthology category. Her debut novel I'm Sorry If I Scared You hit shelves in 2024 after a Kickstarter campaign that raised $16,000 in pre-orders. She has sold her second novel.

Erica Waters

Erica Waters is a lifelong Southerner who now lives in Salem, Massachusetts. She writes dark fantasy and horror for teens and adults. Her second novel, The River Has Teeth, won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Young Adult Novel and was also an Indie Next pick and a Kirkus Best Young Adult Book. Erica’s other works include Ghost Wood Song, The Restless Dark, and All That Consumes Us. She is also a contributor to the bestselling folk horror anthology The Gathering Dark.

Douglas Wynne

Douglas Wynne is a horror and thriller author whose best known works include The Devil of Echo Lake, The Exorcism of Winchester House, and the SPECTRA Files series. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and son in a house full of animals where he also produces and narrates audio fiction.

Miriam Olken

Miriam is a film worker in film, TV, and commercials in Boston/New England and has worked on dozens of studio and independent film sets. She also writes and directs short films in the horror comedy genre. Her work has screened at many film festivals including Shawna Shea, Boston Underground, Boston Scifi, Grrl Haus and NH Film Festival. 

Rachel S. Thomas-Medwid

Rachel S. Thomas-Medwid is an award-winning writer, director, and producer whose work explores the darker side of humanity and complex nature of people. Recently named the 2026 Female Filmmaker of the Year at Austin Revolution Film Festival, she is the recipient of the Women in Horror Award from Happenstance Horror Fest, Best Narrative Short Film Director from Mystic Film Festival, an ISA Top 25 Screenwriter to Watch, and the Grand Prize Winner of the Emerging Screenwriters Shoot Your Short Contest.

Her psychological thriller and horror films have screened at festivals worldwide, garnering over 60 nominations and 30 awards to date. Rachel is an Alliance of Women Directors Member and on the Board of Women in Film Video New England. She has served on the Sherman Oaks and Film Invasion Los Angeles Filmmakers Boards as well as serving as a screenplay judge for Renegade Film Festival.
